I really liked the old setting of the story and the way the characters were portrayed. The polo, fancy dinners, and the mafia were great for setting the scene of the story. And the one girl was really whiney and she was kind of annoying. And the one really rich guy was pretty cool because he was rolling in a rolls. But the poor working guy was cool to because he worked and still had some class to his swagger.

I thought that this movie is very interesting and that it makes the study of this time period more interesting. My favorite character is Daisy because she is very on top of things and is the main character in this story. The party is the thing that stood out to me the most. The one were Daisy asked Nick if he loved her. Then the other thing that stood out to me was that Gatsby wanted nick to invite Daisy over for tea for him.

The most important scene in the movie that stood out to me was the scene close to where we stopped. This was when Daisy came over to Gatsby’s house. And when Gatsby introduced her to his friend. This stood out to me because Gatsby and Nick are now talking. Gatsby introduced Nick and Daisy to each other just because he did not want to lead her directly to his house right away. Finally Gatsby shows off his house to Daisy.

The character that stood out to me was Daisy. She caught my attention by the way she flirted and flaunted around. The event that stood out to me was when Jay meets Daisy and how they looked into each others eyes for a very long period of time. Gatsby was showing off all of his valuables to Daisy so she would be impressed and possible be together. The most memorable moment was at Gatsby’s party when everyone was talking about Gatsby and the rumors that they had made up about him.

I like that the characters have their own personalities. I like that Gatsby was like a normal down to earth man. I think that the most important passage that all of the people were having an affair. Nick was a way for Gatsby to see Daisy. He loved daisy but daisy was married. Daisy’s husband won’t leave her for his mistress. So they all just snuck around. And all were happy.

  6. Yadira Says:

The main characters in the movie are Daisy and J. Gatsby which are in love but they cannot be together. In the movie the most important part to me was when Daisy was crying when Gatsby was talking to her and getting caught up with each other. Daisy even though she wants to be with Gatsby she knew that they cannot be together. I want to learn more about why Daisy cries and why they cannot be together. Gatsby could give her everything she wanted but she knows that they could not be together. Why? I would have wanted them to be together and be happy but not everything goes the way we wish.
